I love creating unique journals from found or repurposed items to make something useful, as well as beautiful.
Hello and welcome to my shop.
First off, I decided on the name of my shop because I've always loved the term "bits and bobs". I have lots of odds and ends, or bits and bobs, stashed everywhere. I was not born or raised in the Great Depression era, but I might as well have been. I save all kinds of stuff with the thought of what can I transform this into so it doesn't end up in the garbage.
Secondly, I decided to pay homage to both my parents, using my dads name and my moms middle name. Thus ending up with Bits and Bobs of Joy.
This is my first time of actually selling things I make, and I settled on making journals. One of my mantras last year, was telling anyone and everyone to be sure to journal about 2020. What a strange, historical event we were all living through. To help facilitate that, I made several journals for gifts for family and friends. What better way to use up scraps, then to make junk journals. I hope to be adding other things to my shop at some point in the future, to sell other reclaimed rubbish items.
